Online 24 HazMat / CEVO Combo Course

Notes: These courses are designed for candidates wishing to apply to become FDNY EMT's or FDNY EMT trainees. Upon completion of our online programs you will be eligible to file for and receive additional points on the application/exam. These courses meet the requirements listed in the DCAS Notice of Examination.
Our 24 hours of HazMat Operations Level Training will be broken down into topic modules with slide presentations, videos, handouts, and quizzes. All of these module components will be completed online. A passing grade of 70% must be attained on all quizzes to proceed to the next module. Our program is consistent with federal OSHA regulations at 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii). A period of 1 week will be allotted to complete all the required modules. A certificate of course completion will be issued to all students who complete all required modules and obtain a passing grade of 70%.
Our CEVO 4 Ambulance program is an online program that meets the requirements of the EVOC course listed on the DCAS Notice of Examination. This course will consist of interactive videos, quizzes and a final exam. A certificate of completion will be issued to all students who pass all training modules and the final exam. A student review guide will be issued to all students registered for this course.
HazMat Operations and CEVO are the only 2 additional courses that a current EMT will need to receive the maximum 10 additional points ( 5 points for HazMat Operations and 5 point for CEVO) added to their score outside of the work experience section of the application/exam.
EVOC and/or HazMat Training must be successfully completed by the last day of the application period. HazMat Training must be to the Operations Level; it must also be a minimum of 24 hours of training. A candidate will not receive credit for entry-level training, awareness training, or any operations level training less than 24 training hours.
Any Candidate looking to apply to become an FDNY EMT Trainee ( Not already certified as an EMT) can earn an additional 5 points (15 Total with a 3 part combo of HazMat, CEVO, and BLS) by taking our American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) program. This course consists of 2 components. An online module with interactive videos and exams and an in person practical skills exam. After completion of the online learning and testing component each student will sign up for a skills exam appointment where we will exercise social distancing and practice proper PPE wearing guidelines to ensure the safety of both student and instructor. Upon successful completion of these 2 components an AHA BLS certificate will be issued to the student. When registering for this program students will receive a student review guide for CPR skills.
